Lyssa Chapman is the daughter and ninth child of famous bounty hunter, Duane “Dog” Chapman. Chapman became a bounty hunter herself when she turned 18 years old and became one of the youngest bondspersons in Hawaii. According to her official Facebook page, Chapman is also a licensed bounty hunter in the state of Colorado. She appeared with her family for eight seasons on A&E’s TV show, “Dog the Bounty Hunter,” tracking down and capturing wanted fugitives.
Chapman is also a small business owner and founder of a nonprofit organization called Proper Choices Inc. In 2013, she released her official autobiography titled “Walking on Eggshells: Discovering Strength and Courage Amid Chaos.” The book describes Chapman’s childhood of being neglected after her parents divorced. The book also covers her life during her teen pregnancy and her journey through mental and physical abuse. Despite overcoming her various situations in life, Chapman managed to still build a healthy relationship with her mother and father.
According to her official website, Lyssa Chapman is also a religious person and enjoys spending time with her two daughters, Abbie and Madalynn. Chapman has revealed during an interview that her first daughter was born after her 15th birthday and that the father was 24 years old at the time of conception. She went on to explain the father was arrested and went to jail for sexually abusing a minor.
