The morning talk show "Live! with Kelly," hosted by Kelly Ripa, aired for a year from 2011 to 2012 before Michael Strahan became a permanent co-host on Sept. 4, 2012, and the show became "Live! with Kelly and Michael." Over 50 guest co-hosts joined Ripa during "Live! with Kelly's" run-time.
At its inception the talk show premiered as "The Morning Show" in 1983, hosted by Regis Philbin and Cyndy Garvey. A year later Garvey left and Kathie Lee Gifford took the co-host position in 1985. The show gained popularity and entered national syndication in 1988, at which point the name changed to "Live with Regis and Kathie Lee." Kathie Lee co-hosted for 12 years before leaving the show; Kelly Ripa replaced her in 2001. "Live with Regis and Kelly" aired until Philbin's final episode on Nov. 18, 2011.
