MRN, or Motor Racing Network, is a source for NASCAR car racing and related radio programming. MRN covers the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, NASCAR XFINITY Series and TUDOR United SportsCar Championship Series. It also has exclusive coverage of the entire NASCAR Camping World Truck Series schedule.
Broadcaster Ken Squier and William H.G. "Big Bill" France founded the MRN in 1970 in Concord, North Carolina. France also founded the NASCAR and Daytona International Speedway. MRN's first broadcast was the 1970 Daytona 500. As of 2015, MRN has nearly 700 radio stations nationwide, making it the largest independent sports radio network in America. The Sprint Cop and Formula One are the two highest rated programs on MRN, hence they achieve the greatest number of stations carrying the broadcast. Audiences for the Xfinity and Camping World Truck series are considerably smaller.
