Lil Boosie is an American rapper from the state of Louisiana. He was born in 1982 and his real name is Torrence Hatch. He changed it to "Lil Boosie" and then in 2014 changed it again, this time to "Boosie Badazz."
Torrence Hatch was born in Baton Rouge and was raised by his mother, as his father was murdered when he was a child. As of 2015, he has released five studio albums, the first of which came out in 2000 when he was 18. It was called "Youngest of da Camp." His other four albums are called "For My Thugz," "Bad Azz," "Superbad: The Return Of Boosie Bad Azz" and "Incarcerated." The final album was released while Lil Boosie was in prison. A sixth studio album, "Touch Down 2 Cause Hell" is set to be released later in 2015.
He was sent to prison on drugs charges relating to offenses he committed in 2011 while awaiting trial for murder. He was not convicted of the murder charge but was sentence to 8 years in prison for the drug offences. He went to jail in November 2011 after pleading guilty, and was released in March 2014.
In addition to being a rapper, he has founded a music label called Bad Azz. He is also a well-known diabetic, and has talked about his condition on several occasions.
