Who Is Lee Dewyze?

Lee Dewyze is a singer and songwriter who won the ninth season of the reality show "American Idol" in 2009. Dewyze got a recording deal with 19 Recordings and RCA Records after winning the singing contest and has released five full albums in his career as of 2015.

Born in Illinois in 1986, Dewyze sang and played guitar in a full band bearing his name before competing in "Americal Idol." After his victory on the show, his first radio single was a different rendition of "Beautiful Day" by the Irish band U2. The albums in Dewyze's discography include "Slumberland," "Live It Up," "What Once Was" and "Frames."
