The largest of the Wehrenberg theaters is the Chesterfield Galaxy 14 Cine in Chesterfield, Missouri. Its screen, dubbed "The Mega Screen," is the largest of its kind in St. Louis, as of 2015. The theater offers five-star lounge service with an on-call wait staff and heated leather recliners.
Founded in 1904 by Fred Wehrenberg, Wehrenberg Theatres is the oldest and biggest family-owned and operated movie theater chain in the United States, operating a total of 15 movie theaters with 213 screens. The company has theatres in Missouri, Illinois, Iowa and Minnesota, where it has nine theaters with 131 screens in the St. Louis metropolitan area. One of its famous theaters in St. Louis is the Ronnies 20 Cine and IMAX that offers closed captioning and assistive hearing devices for the hearing-impaired, stadium seating auditoriums, a virtual rollercoaster, a flight simulator and birthday party rooms.
