Like many young artists, Chief Keef got his start making YouTube videos that grew in popularity. His video for the song "Bang" had over a million views, which led to him garnering some attention from people outside of Chicago. Before he was signed to a major label, he worked with stars like Kanye West, Waka Flocka Flame and Young Jeezy. Chief Keef signed with Interscope records in June of 2012, which not only got him a record deal, but a side deal with Beats by Dr. Dre and an imprint for his own team called the Glory Boyz Entertainment.
