Kidz Bop songs are re-recordings of contemporary pop hits, modified with age-appropriate lyrics and sung by a choir of child singers. Each year, Kidz Bop releases four major numbered albums. Started in 2000 by Razor and Tie, the series has found regular success in the billboard charts. The series has also resonated well with families for its kid-friendly lyrics.
The Billboard magazine has named Kidz Bop Kids as the number one Kids’ Artist in the United States for five consecutive years, from 2010 to 2014. Kidz Bop albums have featured several kid-friendly versions of popular chartbusters from artists such as Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Kelly Clarkson. The Kidz Bop volume 30 album features tracks such as “Bad Blood,” “Cheerleader,” “Where Are U Now” and “Lean On.”
Kidz Bop conducts nationwide casting calls to hunt for talented young performers to be part of the Kidz Bop kids group. The Kidz Bop kids sing for the Kidz Bop albums, featured in television commercials and music videos, as well as participate in live tours across North America. Kidz Bop holds more than 25 live shows each year. With rapid success year after year, Kidz Bop has grown into a large brand that makes music videos, ringtones, toys and kids’ merchandise.
