As a child actress, Kaley Cuoco appeared on "Ellen," a sitcom created by Ellen DeGeneres. Cuoco's character on the show was a portrayal of a young DeGeneres. Outside of acting, Cuoco was a regionally-ranked amateur tennis player until she was 16, and she also enjoys horseback riding. Cuoco broke her leg in a horseback riding accident in September 2010, causing her to miss two tapings of "The Big Bang Theory." The show's production staff creatively hid Cuoco's injury by staging her behind furniture and counters, employing a body double for scenes where she had to walk across a room.
