Huddy joined Fox News Channel in 1998 with her assignment as a Miami-based correspondent. Before joining the network, she worked in the Jacksonville, Florida, area as a general assignment reporter for the television station WAWS-TV and on the radio as the news anchor for on the morning program The Lex and Terry Show on WQRK-FM.

On Fox News Channel, Huddy is a frequent guest on a number of programs, including Red Eye and The O’Reilly Factor, hosted by Bill O'Reilly. She co-hosted FOX & Friends First and FOX & Friends Weekend. Additionally she was the co-host of FOX Television’s syndicated morning program, The Morning Show with Mike and Julie, from 2007 until 2009.

Huddy earned a bachelor's degree in political science with a minor in psychology from the University of Missouri. She started her career in Columbia, Missouri, as a producer and reporter for KARO-FM's morning radio newscasts. She then moved onto KADY-TV in Ventura, California, where she served as a reporter and was a finalist for the NAPTE Award.
