Judge Hatchett is an arbitration-based reality court show that premiered on September 4, 2000. Sony Pictures Television Produced this series, and it ran for nine seasons before it was cancelled in 2008.
The series starred Glenda Hatchett, and it was modeled after many other famous court shows, such as "The People's Court" and "Judge Judy." While the series began with Judge Hatchett acting compassionate and gentle, eventually, she became more scalding and scurrilous. She was particularly intent on intervention for troubled teens and taking corrective measures with young criminals. When the show began to draw lower ratings, it was eventually dropped from the network.
