Joyce Jimenez is the stage name of Joyce Herrin Reintegrado-Egbalic, a Filipino actress known for her film career in the Philippines. She has also participated in beauty pageants and opened businesses featuring bath and beauty products as well as lingerie.
Joyce Jimenez was born on March 21, 1978 in Los Angeles, California to Armando and Gloria Reintegrado, Filipino migrants living in the United States. She grew up in the area, attending Bishop Amat High School in La Puente, California. After graduating, she was accepted into the University of California, Los Angeles but declined to attend. Instead, Jimenez moved to the Philippines to begin her career in the film industry.
Her first role came in 1998, playing a part in "Sumigaw Ka Hanggang Gusto Mo." In the following decade, she was cast in 18 different movies and television shows, culminating in a two-year role on the Filipino program "Lupin" from 2007 to 2008.
Later in 2008, Jimenez married Paul Egbalic, a Filipino-American, in Walnut, California. Returning to the Philippines, the actress was severely injured in an automobile accident that year. Her recovery, and the subsequent birth of her first child with Egbalic on Oct. 16, 2009, placed her film career on hold.
