Jovita Moore is a senior anchor on WSB-TV, which is a ABC-affiliated television station in Atlanta, Georgia. She anchors the 5, 6 and 11 p.m. newscasts. Moore was featured on the 2007 list of 40 Under 40 by Georgia Trend Magazine, which is a list of talented individuals poised to lead Georgia into a better future. She was also selected as one of Jezebel magazine's 50 Most Beautiful, and has received an Emmy awards for outstanding medical reporting.
Before WSB-TV, Moore was an anchor for WMC-TV in Memphis, Tennessee and also served as a reporter at KFSM-TV in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Bennington College in Vermont, and holds a Master's Degree in Journalism from Columbia. She not only takes her job very seriously but also performs a lot of community service works. Moore acts as a role model to kids in the Junior League of Atlanta and the YWCA of Greater Atlanta.
Moore is a member of the Atlanta Association of Black Journalists and the National Association of Black Journalists. Jovita Moore is currently married and has three children, which she lists as her most important accomplishments. She grew up in New York, but calls Atlanta home.
