Retired investigator, Lt. Joe Kenda, was born on Aug. 28, 1946. He grew up in Herminie, Pennsylvania, and moved to Colorado Springs after graduating from college. There he spent over two decades as a homicide detective and solved a majority of almost 400 cases.
Kenda has an impressive track record concerning homicide cases. He solved 92 percent of the 387 murder investigations in which he was involved. This gained him so much notoriety that Investigation Discovery offered him a TV series, "Homicide Hunter: Lt. Joe Kenda" that chronicled his previous homicide cases. The show first aired on Oct. 25, 2011 and has completed four seasons, as of 2015.
