"Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura" is a reality television show in which Jessie Ventura and a team of experts investigate various conspiracy theories, most dealing with government or elitist power. The show aired on the TruTV network for three seasons in 2009, 2010 and 2012.
Some of the conspiracy theories investigated on the show include a potential 9-11 cover-up, a claim that the U.S. government has secret time-travel technology, and allegations that the CIA was behind the assassination of John F. Kennedy, Jr. Other episodes explore rumors of elite secret societies that meet annually to plan world domination, plots by wealthy individuals to buy all of the water rights in the country, and super-bunkers under construction in the Ozark Mountains by elite individuals to survive a pending doomsday event.
One of the most controversial episodes of the series, entitled "Police State," aired in 2010. The episode purports that the government intends to use FEMA to declare martial law and place U.S. citizens deemed a threat into internment camps on U.S. soil. Ventura believes this episode is the reason that the network cancelled the series.
