Clarkson presented the show's segments in a hangar converted into a studio, on the test tracks surrounding it and on location around the United Kingdom. Occasionally, the cast traveled to foreign countries for special episodes of "Top Gear."
In March 2015, BBC did not renew Clarkson's contract after an attack by Clarkson on a "Top Gear" producer. The attack stemmed from a catering dispute while filming in North Yorkshire, England.
