Jason Gould is the son of Barbra Streisand and Elliot Gould. He has done some work as an actor but is better known as a writer, producer and musician.
Gould's parents divorced in 1971, five years after he was born. His mother won custody, and he lived with her while growing up.
Gould has appeared in eight films, including "Say Anything...," "Listen To Me," "The Prince of Tides," "Subterfuge" and "Boys Life 3." His role in "The Prince of Tides," which was directed by his mother, was his most substantial. As a young boy, he made a small appearance in "Up the Sandbox." He has also appeared in an episode of the television series "The Bronx Zoo" and in several television documentaries about his mother.
Gould was the director, writer and producer of "Boys Life 3," which is his most recent work in film as of 2015. He has recently taken up a career as a musician and has released two albums, "Jason Gould" in 2012 and "Morning Prayer/Groove" in 2013. Gould also traveled with his mother during her tours during those years and performed as a backup singer. Gould's self-titled debut album hit number one for MP3 compilation sales in the Broadway and Vocalists category the week it was released.
