There was no word yet of a Season 2 as of July 2015, according to Netflix. Fans had been asking whether there would be a second season and if so, when it would be released.
"Annika Bengtzon," a Swedish series, is based on Liza Marklund’s best-selling crime novels. The main character, Annika Bengtzon, is a female tabloid journalist and a working mother who faces dangerous situations in the course of her career. Season 1 was released in 2012, and it contains six episodes. In the first episode, "The Nobel’s Last Will," Annika Bengtzon is drawn into the death of Caroline von Behring, who has been murdered mysteriously. In the second episode, "Prime Time," Annika tries to unravel the death of Michelle Carson, who has been killed in an isolated castle. In the third episode, "Studio Sex," Annika tries to resolve the murder of a young woman who worked at a strip club.
The hunt for criminals and perpetrators of heinous acts continues into the fourth episode, "The Red Wolf." In the fifth episode, "Lifetime," Annika pursues a murderer and endangers her life in the process. The last episode, "A Place in the Sun," details Annika’s efforts to unravel the killing of a Swedish family.
The first season covered six of Liza Marklund’s 10 novels, and so Netflix expects the second season to cover the remaining novels.
