Howie Carr is known for his weekday radio show, "The Howie Carr Show," which has aired since 1994 on WRKO, AM 680, in the Boston area. Carr is a journalist, author and conservative talk-radio host based in Massachusetts.
Carr is also a columnist for the Boston Herald and the author of two books about Boston crime figures. The first, "The Brothers Bulger," is about Billy Bulger and James "Whitey" Bulger, a retired Massachusetts politician and his crime boss brother, respectively. "The Brothers Bulger" made the "New York Times" best-seller list. The second book, "Hitman," is about Boston organized crime hitman, Johnny Martorano, and also appeared on the "Times" best-seller list.
