The Holi Color Festival is the Phalgun Purnima celebration, which celebrates the triumph of good over evil. This is India's spring festival and is also called the festival of colors and the festival of love.
The Holi Color Festival begins with a celebratory bonfire. Then, the next morning people at the festival chase and paint each other in bright colors. Groups of musicians travel around the festival playing festive songs while people dance, sing and continue to throw colors on one another. Participants also talk and share edible delicacies. The festivities continue into the second evening, though the second evening is more subdued than the first evening and the daytime portion of the celebration.
