Some Hindi movie songs are "Chaar Bottle Vodka," "Badtameez Dil," "Kal Ho Naa Ho," "Chaiyya Chaiyya," "Tujhe Dekha Toh Yeh Jana Sanam" and "Aap Jaisa Koi." These songs were listed by TimeOut magazine as being among the best in the history of the Bollywood film industry. A similar list compiled by OutlookIndia on the basis of industry experts' selections included "Man re, tu kaahe na dheer dhare," "Tere mere sapne ab ek rang hain..." and "Din dhal jaaye, hai raat na jaaye..."
"Chaar Bottle Vodka" was featured in the 2014 movie "Ragini MMS 2," and it is considered representative of a new, more controversial Bollywood style. Featuring lyrics from the rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh and the adult actor Sunny Leone, it was about drinking excessive amounts of vodka and the desirability of a hangover. "Badtameez Dil" is from the 2010 movie "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani," and it is another contemporary style Bollywood party track.
A more traditional Hindi movie song is "Kabhi Kabhi Mere Dil Mein" from the 1976 film "Kabhie Kabhie." Like many Bollywood songs, it was crucial to the plot of the movie; in this case, it was the recital of a poem by a love-struck poet. Despite the beauty of the poem, the poet cannot be with his love because of her arranged marriage.
