Diddy reportedly earned $60 million in 2015, mostly due to his various business ventures and product lines. Jay-Z made $56 million between concert tours and entrepreneurial pursuits. Drake brought in $39.5 million from album sales, tours and lucrative sponsorship deals with companies such as Nike. Dr. Dre made a reported $33 million after releasing a long-awaited album as well as producing "Straight Outta Compton," a biopic about his former rap group NWA. Dre topped the list of top-earning rappers for 2014, earning more than $600 million -- the highest yearly income by an entertainer ever recorded by Forbes.
Pharrell Williams made $32 million in 2015 from various tours, productions, product lines and his regular appearances on the NBC series "The Voice." Eminem made $31 million dollars, Kanye West earned $22 million, Wiz Khalifa made $21.5 million and Nikki Minaj made $20 million for the year. These earnings are estimated by Forbes using a formula that considers pre-tax income, record sales, publishing, merchandise sales, music streaming, product and service endorsements, and other business ventures.
