Some of the heroines in Debbie Macomber's "Cedar Cove" book series are Beth Morehouse and Mary Jo Wyse. The main heroine from the "Rose Harbor" book series is Jo Marie Rose.
The "Cedar Cove" series has several heroines because each of the books focuses on a different person from the town, with a few of the holiday edition books telling the story of the town as a whole. Beth Morehouse is one of these heroines, who owns and operates a Christmas tree farm. She cares for her daughters and dogs and has romantic interest in Ted Reynolds, even though her daughters are determined to reunite their mother with their father. Another heroine in this series is Mary Jo Wyse, who arrives in Cedar Cove on Christmas Eve, pregnant and searching for her baby's father. After her baby Noel is born and it is determined that the baby's father is out of the picture, Mary Jo begins to allow herself to fall in love with the paramedic who helped with her delivery, Mack McAfee.
In the "Rose Harbor" series, Jo Marie Rose is a recent member of the Cedar Cove community who moved to get a fresh start after her husband passes away. She buys and operates a local bed-and-breakfast and renames it the Rose Harbor Inn. In the process, she meets new people and builds great friendships, including one with her handyman, Mark Taylor. Jo hopes to build her relationship with Mark into a romance but realizes that Mark has some secrets and that he may not always be around.
