Set 3 years after the Barden Bellas claimed the national title and became the first entirely female group to ever win a national a cappella competition, "Pitch Perfect 2" follows the lives of the group after the president's botched performance leads to a scandal that strips them of their performing duties, causing internal tension and issues among the girls. Yet, even in times of tension, the girls must ban together to seize their only shot at redemption as the world championships of a Capella groups is around the corner in Copenhagen, Denmark.
"Pitch Perfect 2" sees new characters such as Emily, a legacy for the Bellas who wishes to follow in her mother's footsteps and is immediately the object of Treble Maker Benji's affection. New characters return, too, with secrets such as Becca, who has started an internship at a radio station, which she has yet to inform her overbearing father of.
Throughout the film, as the Bellas try and find their sound again and get back the stuff of winners, the girls go on one comedic trip after another, luckily leading them to an ultimate victory. Benji gets the girl and Becca gets her internship, and all is once well. Even Bumper, their old rival and the love interest of Fat Amy, gets his own as he auditions for the voice and gets all the judges to turn around after some uncomfortable weirdness.
