As of July 2015, the last episode of "Scandal" was the season four finale, "You Can't Take Command." In the episode, the B613 trial comes to an end, and there is a change of power in the White House and in the Oval Office.
The season finale saw the jurors of the B613 trial get executed as they were on the bus, heading to court. A criminal mastermind got the list of jurors from Mellie (the president's wife) and kills them all. Back at the White House, Fitz and Mellie celebrate a very successful campaign, and the pair talk about being happier together than they have been in the past.
David Rosen wants to get out from under the pressure of the White House, but Cyrus, the president's chief of staff, won't allow him to leave. Rosen flat out asks Cyrus to fire him, but he's told that isn't going to happen. One of Olivia's most trusted henchmen, Huck, is the one who actually kills the people on the bus, and he's eventually confronted about the fact that he murdered so many people. The episode closes with Fitz and Olivia meeting up on a balcony at the White House with no specifics on what happens or what will happen next.
