As of August 2015, Fox television personality Megyn Kelly and author Doug Brunt are married. The couple have three children together and have been married since 2008.
Kelly and Brunt first met in 2006 on a blind date at a tapas bar. They would stay together as a couple until their marriage in March of 2008. Brunt proposed to Kelly on the beach at Beach Haven, New Jersey, in September of 2007.
The couple had their first child, their son Yates, in 2011. In 2012 their daughter Yardley was born, and in 2013, second son Thatcher was born. Over the course of their marriage, Kelly has risen to greater national attention, moving from appearances as a correspondent with Fox News to having her own show with the network, "The Kelly File." Brunt has retired from his work as a management and security consultant to become a full-time author, penning the New York Times bestseller "The Ghosts of Manhattan."
Kelly and Brunt's relationship has made the news several times since they were married. Kelly's former husband Dr. Dan Kendall gave an interview in February of 2015 suggesting that Kelly preferred a "Type B" husband. A 2010 interview Kelly did with Howard Stern where she made reference to her husband's penis size has also been given new attention by some news sources in connection with her feud with Donald Trump. Kelly also mentioned her husband's birthday on her show on Aug. 25, 2015, joking that she got him a Donald Trump tie.
