Over the years, Kate Gosselin has sported haircuts including a short, spikey, straightened crop in 2009 and a similar but wavier crop cut in 2010. She wore a much longer hairstyle in 2010 when she appeared on the cover of People magazine with long extensions paired with choppy bangs.
According to Ted Gibson, the stylist who styled Gosselin's extensions, the cost of getting her exact hairstyle at one of his salons was about $7,000.
Gosselin wore yet another haircut in 2010 for her appearance on "Dancing With the Stars." When she first appeared on the show, she still had her extensions in her hair, but her stylist cut them to shoulder length and curled them into loose spirals. She completed this look with loosely curled side-sweep bangs. In 2012, Gosselin abandoned the bangs for a simple side part paired with straight, buttery blond hair cut just slightly longer than shoulder length.
Prior to her time on TLC's reality series "Jon and Kate Plus 8," Gosselin's old school portraits reveal some ways she wore her hair during her teen years. For example, a picture of her from the eighth grade shows her in a short, feathered shag haircut. Her senior picture from 1993 features her wearing a straight, poofed-out bob that fell just below her ears, along with '90s-style poofy side bangs.
