Andrew Wyeth's 1948 painting "Christina's World" and his series of paintings of Helga Testorf, a German immigrant, are some of his best works. "Wind from the Sea" was the highlight of a major exhibition at the National Gallery of Art in 2014.
Other popular Wyeth paintings include "A Crow Flew By," "The Clearing" and "Turkey Pond." The Brandywine River Museum of Art, in Wyeth's hometown of Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, considers "Roasted Chestnuts" and "Pennsylvania Landscape" to be highlights of its collection. His best known pictures typically feature realistic landscapes and portraits of friends and family. Other works include "Trodden Weed," "Up in the Studio," "French Twist" and "The Carry."
