Some good Halloween movies for families include “Addams Family Values,” “Hocus Pocus,” “Ghostbusters” and “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.” All of these movies have PG or PG-13 ratings.
“Addams Family Values” debuted in 1993 as a sequel to “The Addams Family” and stars Anjelica Huston, Christopher Lloyd, Cristina Ricci and Raul Julia. The movie follows the family as they hire a new nanny for the family’s new addition. They soon find out that the nanny is actually a serial killer with her sights on Fester.
“Hocus Pocus” stars Bette Middler, Sarah Jessica Parker, Omri Katz and Thora Birch. Released in 1993, the movie centers around Max, a teen who relocates to Salem, Massachusetts and learns that three witches are sucking the life force from local children to gain eternal youth.
“Ghostbusters,” a classic movie from 1984, follow the misadventures of four paranormal investigators busting ghosts in New York City. The movie stars Bill Murray, Sigourney Weaver, Rick Moranis, Harold Ramis and Dan Aykroyd.
“It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” is a timeless animated Halloween special voiced by Christopher Shea and Peter Robbins. It follows Sally and Linus as they wait for the Great Pumpkin to make an annual appearance in the pumpkin patch.
