Karin Slaughter is the author of many crime-themed books, including "Pretty Girls" and "Cop Town," and two books series, including the "Will Trent" and "Grant County" series. Slaughter's most recent book, as of 2015, "Pretty Girls," due out in September 2015, is a psychological thriller about two estranged sisters' search to find the truth behind two murders committed 25 years apart. "Cop Town" details the hunt for a brutal killer and the newly hired policewoman out to solve the crime.
Slaughter's "Will Trent" series follows GBI special agent Will Trent and includes nine books, starting with "Triptych" and ending with "Unseen." The saga takes place in Atlanta, Georgia. The "Grant County" series includes six books, including the inaugural volume "Blindsighted" and running through the final book in the series, "Beyond Reach (Skin Privilege)." The series is set in fictional Heartsdale, Georgia.
Slaughter was born in January 1971 and lives in Atlanta, Georgia. Slaughter's books are published in nearly 30 languages and have sold more than 30 million copies. She was shortlisted for the Best Thriller Debut Dagger Award in 2001 by the Crime Writer's Association.
