"Crickwing" is an adventure story about a cockroach who is a food sculptor. He is bullied by other animals because he has a twisted wing. His creativity saves him in the end. "The Misadventures of Maude March" is historical fiction set in the Wild West. It is about two orphan sisters who escape their caretakers and become outlaws.
