"Longmire" is in production for a 10-episode fourth season for 2015 after signing with Netflix, which is replacing A&E Network as the show's broadcaster. Netflix also offers streamed episodes from the A&E seasons, including the cliffhanger season three finale.
"Longmire" is based on the bestselling "Walt Longmire" mysteries by Craig Johnson. It follows the life and times of the sheriff of Absaroka County, Wyoming. The series pits Walt's traditional Western values against the brutality of 21st-century crime. The cinematography features panoramic landscapes not regularly seen on television.
"Longmire” stars Australian actor Robert Taylor as Walt, and co-stars Katee Sackhoff as Detective Vic Moretti and Lou Diamond Phillips as Henry Standing Bear.
