Georgie Porgie is likely simply a fictional character. A few different historical Georges are thought to be the subject of the "Georgie Porgie" nursery rhyme, though there is no specific evidence to substantiate these theories. These famous Georges include England's King George II the British courtier Georges Villiers.
Villiers is said to have been the lover of King James I of England, and his attractiveness also made him popular with women in court. His relationship with the king largely protected him, but eventually Parliament had enough of his scheming. However, other published versions of the rhyme exist which make no mention of a Georgie Porgie character.
