As of 2015, the Froggy series of children's books by Jonathan London consists of 26 titles, including "Froggy Goes to School," "Froggy Plays Soccer" and "Froggy Goes to Hawaii." London published the first book in the series, "Froggy Gets Dressed," In 1992, and it is on the New York Library's list of 100 picture books every child should read. The 27th Froggy book, "Froggy Goes to the Library," is due to be released in March 2016.
The author explains that the Froggy books are all based on memories of his childhood and his experiences of raising his sons. The books humorously reveal common mishaps that children experience in their own lives.

London received a master's degree in social sciences, and when he graduated from college, he decided his true vocation was to be a writer, even though he had never studied literature or creative writing.
