Ken Curtis was born on July 2, 1916. He is best known for his role as Festus in the TV series "Gunsmoke." His film credits include "The Searchers," "Don Daredevil Rides Again," "Riders of the Pony Express," "The Alamo" and "The Wings of Eagles." Other TV credits include roles in "Have Gun - Will Travel," "The Yellow Rose," "Ripcord," "The Aquanauts" and "Wagon Train." Curtis also lent his voice to the Disney animated feature "Robin Hood." He died in 1991.
