In the 1990's crime film "Goodfellas," De Niro plays the lead role of James Conway. The film was directed by Martin Scorsese and written by Nicholas Pileggi. Other stars in the film include Ray Liotta, Joe Pesci, Lorraine Bracco, Paul Sorvino and Frank Sivero.

In "Meet the Parents," De Niro stars alongside Ben Stiller, Teri Polo, Blythe Danner and Owen Wilson. The film revolves around the mishaps of Gaylord "Greg" Focker when he goes to meet his girlfriend Pam Bynes' parents. De Niro plays the role of Jack Byrnes, Pam's father.
