Iranian-born actress Golshifteh Farahani has acted in over 25 films since 1997. She has won awards for her performances in "The Patience Stone," "The Pear Tree," "Boutique" and "My Sweet Pepper Land."
Golshifteh Farahani got her first lead role as Mim in "The Pear Tree" at the age of 14. Many of her films have won or been nominated for awards at film festivals internationally, including nominations at Cannes Film Festival, Chicago Film Festival, Tribeca Film Festival, Nantes Three Continents Festival and Fajr International Film Festival. Other films Golshifteh Farahani has acted in include "Two Angels," "The Fish Fall in Love," "In the Name of the Father," "Half Moon" and "M for Mother."

These include "Altamaria," "Go Home," "Ports of Call," "The Misfortunes of Sophie" and "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales," in which she plays Haifaa Meni. Farahani has also been involved in theater and musical projects and has worked as an ambassador for fighting tuberculosis. She currently resides in Paris, France.
