He had international success with his 1997 album "Más," and won the Latin Grammy for best pop album with his 2003 album "No Es Lo Mismo." Sanz is known for his romantic ballads, but he has also released rap and electronic music.

However, he ended up using his real name and titled his first album "Enrique Iglesias." The album was a hit, selling over a million copies. He began breaking into English-language music in 1999, and in 2001 he released his second English album, "Escape." It became one of his most successful albums.
Julio Iglesias was also born in Madrid, on Sept. 23, 1943. He played professional football until suffering severe injuries in a car crash, which led to him learning to play guitar. He won a song writing competition in 1968 and then released his debut album "Yo Canto." He moved to the United States in 1979 and began singing in several other languages, including English.
