Similarly, some black people have become famous through civil rights activism, such as Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X, Al Sharpton and Rosa Parks.
Black people have also achieved fame through entertainment media such as sports, movies and music. Black athletes such as Lebron James, Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant have become well-known through their success in the NBA. Black people have achieved fame in the NFL as well, with notable stars including Marshawn Lynch and Richard Sherman of the Seattle Seahawks.
