Full Answer

Stanton’s work came to specialize in fetish cartoons and illustrations that featured themes of sadomasochism, bondage and female dominance. He shared a studio for many years with Spiderman creator Steve Ditko. He self-published much of his work for an underground market and produced films and video in the years before his death. Websites such as MythWerks.com and Zizky.com have galleries depicting selections of his work, and the Taschen Gallery in Los Angeles featured an exhibit entitled “Bizarre Life: The Art of Elmer Batters & Eric Stanton” from March through May 2015.
