Equestrian events include the Calgary Stampede in Canada, the Tevis Cup and the American Eventing Championships. These equestrian events are well-known in the horse world, but there are also smaller events that are held as local levels.
Riders who are interested in joining and taking part in the rodeo at the Calgary Stampede will have nine events in over 10 days in which to take part. There is approximately $2 million in prize money available to participants. The American Eventing Championship is open to all levels and types of riders, with a wide variety of events in which to partake. While many of the events are family friendly, events like the Tevis Cup are endurance events that don't often have viewing areas set up for fans.
