"Mrs. Brown's Boys" is a sitcom that premiered on Jan. 1, 2011. Brendan O'Carroll is the creator, writer and star of the series. The series began as a radio program in 1992, after which O'Carroll created a book series. One book in the series, "The Mammy," was made into the 1999 film "Agnes Brown." O'Carroll then made several straight-to-DVD films based on the books, along with Mrs. Brown plays throughout Ireland and the United Kingdom.
In "Mammy Pulls It Off," the family attempts to scam an insurance company by faking Grandad's death. "Mammy's Coming" has Agnes upset because of Trevor being called back to Africa on a missions trip. In "iMammy (Batteries Not Included)," the Brown family prepares for Maria's baby. "SuperMammy" has Agnes go on a diet because of comments about her weight. "Mammy's Going" involves Agnes worrying about being put in a home, and the season ends with "New Mammy," when Maria goes into labor.
