Enrique Iglesias was born on May 8, 1975 in Madrid, Spain. He is the son of the international superstar Julio Iglesias. He spent his childhood in Spain with his mother Isabel Preysler, his brother Julio and his sister Chabela. In 1982, Enrique left Spain for Miami, where he came to live with his father after his grandfather was kidnapped by an armed terrorist rebel group in Spain. During this time, he was exposed to several cultures and musical influences which would later appear in his own music. He also attended the University of Miami, where he studied business.
In 1995, Enrique released his first album, which he recorded in Toronto. It was an international success, and Enrique went on to record several more successful records, including "Vivir" in 1997, "Cosas del Amor" in 1998, and "Sex and Love" in 2014.
