Vic Armstrong directed the 2014 sci-fi film, "Left Behind," based on a book by the same name written by Jerry B. Jenkins and Tim LaHaye. The film starred Nicholas Cage and Lea Thompson.
The film deals with the aftermath of the biblical Rapture. During this event, millions of people across the world vanish instantly, leaving behind only their clothes. Civilization left behind during the Rapture descendes into violence and chaos.
As of September 2015, "Left Behind" has a 2 percent rating from Rotten Tomatoes and an average rating of 2.1 out of 10 from film critics. Brian Truitt of USA Today, for instance, gave the film one-half star out of four.
