Sherryl Woods was born on July 23, 1944, and released her first book, "Restoring Love," in 1982. Before then, she worked as a journalist for several different newspapers, covering a variety of topics. After finding a specialty in television, she became the television editor for multiple newspapers. She used the pseudonyms Alexandra Kirk and Suzanne Sherrill when publishing her first books, before using her real name in 1985. She left journalism in 1986 and began writing books full time.
