Petko is still listed on the OCC television show's website, but he is no longer an active member of the team, as he lives over 70 miles away. He initially joined OCC in 2003, where he became famous for his ability to produce high-quality, detailed, hand-crafted metal pieces for custom bikes.

Petko was originally born in Bath, Pennsylvania, and after leaving Orange County Choppers, he moved back to the greater Philadelphia area. At RPD, he works on a wide range of projects, including not only cars and motorbikes but also knives and even ornate traditional blacksmith items. He also continues to produce the custom bike parts that made him famous.

In his personal life, Rick was married to Brittany Cockeram in May 2012. Their wedding was documented on "American Chopper." Just over a year later in October, Rick and Brittany became parents for the first time. They named their daughter Everly Rose. Rick remains friends with both Paul Jr. and Paul Sr., the co-stars of the original OCC show, as of 2015.
