Larry Davies was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer in 2009. He was found to be terminal in December of 2009, just before Christmas. Sadly, he passed away just six weeks later on Feb. 3, 2010 at the age of 51. Larry passed away at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He was survived by Linda, his wife of 27 years, their four children, Meghan, Sarah, Larry IV, and Kevin, and by his mother, Jeanne Wilde Davies, his brother, Patrick Davies, and his sister, Gail Speers. Since Larry's passing, Linda has been a major supporter of Free to Breathe, an organization that provides funding for lung cancer research and support to patients and their families.

Larry Davies III graduated from the University of Delaware in 1980 and then from Widener University School of Law in 1988. During his 27-year career, he worked as a certified public accountant, the CEO of Habit Opco Inc., a lawyer and a leading health care general manager. Before he passed away, Larry was the head of a multi-state addiction treatment agency.
