Mexican-American singer Jenni Rivera made her first music video in 2008 for the song, "Culpable O Inocente." The music video was directed by Ricardo Moreno and produced by Pedro Rivera and SilverCulture Films. The song was composed by Camilo Blanes.
Born in Long Beach, California, Rivera was also a songwriter, actress, TV producer and businesswoman who achieved fame as a top selling artist in the Mexican music genre. She started her recording career in 1992 and over the course of her career garnered four Latin Grammy Award nominations, two Billboard Latin Music awards, two Billboard Music awards and two Oye Awards which are Mexico's equivalent of the Grammy Awards.
Many media outlets, such as CNN, Billboard and The New York Times, have hailed Rivera as the most important female artist in Mexican music. Her untimely death in a 2012 plane crash at the age of 43 made headlines for weeks. Selling over 20 million records worldwide, Rivera continues to be one of the best-selling Mexican singers of all time.
