As of 2015, there are no reports of Gene Lavanchy leaving Fox News. According to his Facebook profile, Lavanchy is still the anchor of “FOX25 Morning News.” No announcements have been made by him or the station about him leaving Fox News.
Born on Sept. 17, 1964, Gene Lavanchy is a journalist and radio and TV personality. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and he graduated from Emerson College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communication/Broadcast Journalism. He has worked for numerous stations, including WBBH-TV, WLNE-TV, WSBK-TV, WHDH and WFXT. Lavanchy received Boston Magazine’s the Best of Boston Awards for best sports anchor in 1994.
