Dottie Rambo was an influential gospel musician and songwriter who was born on March 2, 1934 and died on May, 11, 2008 in a deadly bus accident. It was on Mother’s Day when her tour bus struck a guardrail and crashed into an embankment in Missouri.
Rambo died on a Sunday on her way to a Mother’s Day show performance in Texas. After the accident, she was hospitalized in Springfield, Missouri, but she succumbed due to the injuries sustained. Rambo died while she was 74 years and after spending 62 years in gospel music. She was with her manager and family, but they survived the accident.
